ASUU FAILS TO MEET WITH FG, LAWMAKERS At the proposed meeting of the Federal Government, members of the National Assembly and representatives of ASUU and ASUP, members of ASUU failed to attend. However ASUP led by their president Chibuzor Asomugha atttended the meeting which had in attendance Education Minister, Labour Minister and members of the National Assembly. With this act by ASUU, hopes that the over one week strike by university lecturers will be suspended soon seem dim even as the Education Minister Prof. Ruquayatu Ahmed Rufai gave assurances that the impasse will be resolved in few days.
