ABIA TO HOLD LGA ELECTION JANUARY 2013 Abia State governor Dr. Theodre Orji says the state will conduct the local government area polls in January next year. Gov. Orji told reporters that all political parties will be given a level-playing ground. He assured that the elections will be free and fair. He said the election will have to take place since the level of insecurity in the state has died down. The governor just returned from a controversial trip abroad. While many believe that the governor went for state functions, some say he went to visit his daughter who delivered a baby recently. Yet, others say he was held by foreign security agencies for some shady deals. But the governor insists that he met some investors who are willing to invest in the state.
