SACK SANUSI, NBA TELLS JONATHAN The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) yesteday urged President Goodluck Jonathan to sack the Central Bank of Nigeria Sanusi Lamido Sanusi over the controversies surrounding the planned introduction of the N5000 notes. President of the association Okey Wali(SAN) said this yesteday in Abuja while speaking on the topic- The Nigerian Bar Association: The past, Present and the future. The lawyer said Sanusi has failed in providing enough reasons why the notes should be introduced. He said Sanusi has rather been insulting people instead of providing reasons. He pointed out how Sanusi insulted former president Olusegun Obasanjo for having contrary opinion on the matter. The N5000 note has generated controversies since the apex bank disclosed plans to introduce it. President Goodluck Jonathan who earlier approved the plan since December 2011 yesteday bowed to pressure and directed the CBN to stop further action on the proposal. Credit: The Nation
