JONATHAN RETURNS BEFORE ARRIVAL DATE The president Dr. Goodluck Jonathan suddenly returned to the country tuesday evening from his two-nation visit. Punch gathered that the president left some members of his delegation. According to a statement released by Jonathan's spokesman Dr. Reuben Abati on saturday, the president was expected to return on wednesday. The sudden return of the president has heightened insinuations on the health of his wife, Dame Patience Jonathan who is allegedly being treated for food poisoning in a german hospital. Punch's correspondent's chat with Dr. Abati was abruptly ended as the phone was cut off and efforts to speak with the media aide again proved abortive as he did not pick the calls.
