SACK CBN GOVERNOR SANUSI, GROUPS Following the outrage that greeted the proposed introduction of the N5000 notes to the Nigerian economy, President Goodluck Jonathan has been urged to fire the Central Bank governor Mr. Sanusi Lamido Sanusi. The Nigeria Medical Association(NMA), the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR) and the Conference of Nigeria Political Parties. The groups in separate statements condemned the planned move. But the introduction of the notes got official support even as the CBN in a statement defended the plan, saying it will not cause inflation.
